Does it give you the option to go into "maint. mode" or whatever its called? If so, reboot with "shutdown -fr now" then download and install the latest kernel package. It's a problem with the shipping kernel.

This really helpful when I was in the install process and I am fairly sure that RedHat did indeed install correctly to disc.
I'm using a Compaq EVO 1020v and I have searched Google both groups and general and cannot find a solution.
My problem is that no matter how many of the boot commands I enter, specifically nodma pci=biosirq noapic apm=off RedHat hangs on boot with the last few lines being displayed: Partition check: hda:
Anyone out there have some pointers on this?
Sorry, I'm joining late. Is this during the install or after install is completed? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens vitalstream com - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - Microsoft Windows: Proof that P.T.
