Re: Why do I get "out of range" message on the screen while X windowsstarted?

Your chip set for your on board graphic is supported, but you have to
install it yourself. It is just to new to be in any of the distros. Go
to xfree86.org.

"Out of range" is displayed by the monitor when you ask it to display a signal that it can't handle. This is usually caused by having the horizontal sync rate too fast or the vertical retrace set to a rate the display can't deal with. Check the owner's manual of the monitor you have and check the "specifications" page. Match that up against what you have selected in the xfree86 configuration for your monitor.

Dear Sirs,

I have installed Redhat 8.0 on my PC (p4 cpu , Intel D845GBV board and Benq fp581s lcd). However I always got the error message "Out of Range" on the top of the screen while the X window running after the Operate System was started.

Would you please give me some suggestion?

Many thanks.
