As I have read thoroughly your query, I am of the
opinion that you wish to create a dual boot system. 
If this is an accurate assesment, then yes, you can
use the remaining space but a decision must be made as
to which will be the master or slave drive. Doing the
installation process, you will be asked this question
and there are several ways in which to do this. If you
go to the RH web site, there is extensive
documentation on the procedure. See:
