Hi,
I am having trouble with dual booting with Win98 and Redhat Linux 7.3. The default boot loader GRUB does not seem to be picking up the Win98 partition. I have re-installed Linux but this does not seem to help.
I am a complet novice when it comes to Linux so PLEASE HELP!!

I'ts not clear from your message where the problem lies.
Is that there is no option to boot Windows in the grub menu, or when you
select the Windows option it doesn't boot Windows correctly?
If it's the former that may be very easy to solve. Boot into Linux and
open the file /boot/grub/grub.conf in a text editor. You can use any
text editor you have installed.
Add the following text to the end of the file:
title Windows
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
This assumes that Windows is installed on the first primary partition of
the master drive on the first IDE channel (which is the normal place for
Win9x).
Also, make sure that, in the same file, the value after timeout= is not
0. It should be a number > 0 (it's the number of seconds you get to
choose which OS to boot).
If the problem is that Windows doesn't boot, we need more information.
