Hello-
I had written with the same problem (although with Windows XP, and
R.H. 8), and did the same thing, and...

I got the same result. I also had the advice of using the grub command
line to enter the commands directly:
grub> rootnoverify (hd0,0)
grub> makeactive
grub> chainloader +1
grub> boot
I then get the message:
invalid boot.ini file
booting from C:\windows
missing file \windows\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
use original setup CD-ROM (select 'r' at first screen for repair)
Which CD, I don't have (since MS doesn't trust us with that kind of
thing anymore, I suppose).
So- any thoughts?
