S3 video card versus RH 8

   My old Dell 400 came with an S3 trio64V2 video card,
which works on RH 7.3, and continues to work all the way 
through the X-based install process, but fails on first boot.
 The diagnosis is "(EE) No devices detected."

  Anyone seen this symptom? We have about 20 of these machines
in our lab, and I'd like to reccomend running RH 8 on them.
