install help for dual boot w/ xp

Hey everone Im attempting to install redhat 7.1 why 7.1 welll thats all I 
could get for testing puposes. Anyway, I have WinXP which in time I want to 
get rid of but first I need to figure out how to install redhat 7.1. What I 
have attempted thus far is (1) installing redhat after xp, problem can't 
boot to XP (2) istalled redhat before xp still can't boot to XP. What should 
I do I have tried to do this by myself for the past day or so. Please keep 
in in mind Im new to partitions and Linux so be as clear as possible.
