There are several ways depending on the tools that you
have available, such as Ranish Partition Manager or
Partition Magic, versions 6 and later. OTOH, there are
the applications that come with Linux itself, Fdisk,
DiskDruid, etc. With that said, the simplest method,
since you are new to Linux is,

If you are burning the ISO's to cd, read the section
how to download and test the media and check the
hardware compatibility list and Bugzilla for any
