There are several ways depending on the tools that you have available, such as Ranish Partition Manager or Partition Magic, versions 6 and later. OTOH, there are the applications that come with Linux itself, Fdisk, DiskDruid, etc. With that said, the simplest method, since you are new to Linux is, http://www.redhat.com/advice/tips/dualboot.html & http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/install-guide/ch-x86-dualboot.html. If you are burning the ISO's to cd, read the section how to download and test the media and check the hardware compatibility list and Bugzilla for any documentation changes.
