My network consists of a RedHat 8.0 server, an XP and two win 98 se computers behind a Netgear "Web Safe" Router RP114 connected to a dynamic cable ISP account.
I will read your article and explore use of the firewalls mentioned.
I have noticed today that while I have had the server at "no firewall" my Norton anti-virus on my XP detects Klez viruses coming in from somewhere. This has not occurred while I had the server at medium security. Sendmail is not running on the server. Coincidence?
