I just loaded RH9 (after three weeks of effort). The operating system is extremely slow. So slow that there is  a 
delay between my typing letters and their appearing on the screen in Open Office. I have 184 mb memory and 266mb 
swap partition. 

I checked the system resources utility and the machine is perpetually using 90% to 95% of RAM and not using the 
swap partition.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why RH9 is not employing the swap partition?
