Howto enable DMA ??

Hello everybody,

I have just installed my linux 9.0 and I am not able to set my IDE transfer protocol to DMA..

I am using Adaptec 1200A which is PCI dual IDE controller UDMA100, connected with 2 Seagate Barracuda 80GB HDDs. Pleaste tell me how. I searched RH database, and there is only info about Kernel param ideX=DMA, but it has no efect.
