Metaframe invisible cursor

 I have here in the office a Red Hat 7.2 box with a matrox G100 card
 
 I had to have Citrix Metaframe Version 6.20 installed to work on some
Word/Excel files (**).

Now I have this NT window in my GNOME session, black background and white cursor.

The cursor stays white, without border, even inside Word, EXcel, etc..., thus
becoming invisible and driving me mad.

I coudn't find anything on Google. Also, I can't upgrade, as RH 7.2 is the
latest versions
allowed/supported on company PCs.  Similarly, no possibility to touch the NT server
configuration

Any tips?

(**)PLEASE don't suggest OOo here. It just didn't work. Start a NEW
thread if you really feel I should elaborate on this on the list
