IMAPS, Fetchmail, Procmail and RH9

1. Fetchmail and Procmail have installed and work fine.
I am in the process of trying to get IMAPS running.
2. Looking in redhat-config-services shows imaps in there and with a 
tick in the box but the stop/start/restart buttons at the top are 
greyed out.
3. I have tried service xinetd restart but to no avail.
4. I had previously hand-amended /etc/xinetd.d/imaps to make disable = no.

What do I do next?
