Ok, I thought it was the other way around.  Sorry.  Yes, you can make
the 10G drive (I think) either an NTFS or FAT32 drive, and share it
from WinXP.  You will need the samba-client RPM installed on Linux,
and use smbmount to mount the share on the Linux filesystem.
