So, you've all told me how to install it on a new computer. I partition

One more Q.
I have a computer that has Xp pro already installed and sees the entire
HDD as NTFS.
Can I install RH9 on it without reformating / losing the data?
Thank you all!
In addition to the advice given by others, I'd add that if you want to
share data between XP and Linux then create a FAT32 partition for that
purpose. XP won't understand any of the Linux filesystems without
additional commercial software. You can add read support for NTFS to RH
but write support is *not* advisable. Both understand FAT32 for read and
write. It's not ideal for various reasons, but it's the best option
available.
I agree about RW on NTFS. VERY dangerous. However, if you must have
NTFS, pre-built NTFS modules for RH8.0 and RH9 are available from:
http://www.rhil.net/kernelstuff/modules.html
Both RO and RW versions are there (I know, I built them).
