which desktop should i use# Gnome - KDE + problem

I am about to run redhat 8 with a large mysql database for a telesales/stock
system.

On installing RH8 as a server. Which desktop env should we use  Gnome or
KDE.

I do know quite a bit about Dos and a little about linux so the  linux
desktop does make it simpler to use.

Also at the moment i am using rh8+kde and i have just messed the mysql
database up.
I can go back to a backup but when i boot the server and it starts kde it
errors out with some
font error messages and switches back to the console login.

How would i correct KDE,  Reinstall it ? .....
