RH9: RPM Lockup

Subject: RH9: RPM Lockup

When I use either 'rpm -i' or 'rpm -ivh' to try to install an
RH9-specific RPM downloaded from either RHN or Freshrpms,the machine
will accept the instruction without error message, but then nothing
happens.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can find out what is happening?
