Well am not sure that i follow you . All i know for sure is that
on my desktop pc i never had problem with playing audio cd's either
with cdp or with Kscd , it has always been straight forward . Just for
the record i have a Toshiba SD-M1612 DVD drive under Redhat 7.3 with the
2.4.18-3
I'll let you know
if I learn anything useful from Red Hat support--as I am having the same
problem.
