Re: using rpm



There are a couple of ways to do it.  You can do it all in one operation:

rpm -ivh ftp://some.ftp.site/some.dir/some.rpm 

or you can download it first and then

rpm -ivh filename

The "vh" gets you a little more verbose and a progress bar.
