Hi,
Tried to do that, but it does not work. Still hangs
on "Checking New Hardware"
Help please.... i can go in the single user mode, but
when i took the "*" off kudzu it still checks for
hardware....why would that be so ????
It must not have set it for your run level. Ok, reboot again
and when the 'Press "I" for interactive startup' message appears,
press a capital "I" (do it several times). As the boot proceeds,
it'll ask you which services to start, one by one. When "kudzu"
shows up (or "Checking for new hardware"), press "N" (don't let it
start) and see if that helps.
If the system comes up, run the "ntsysv" command again and verify that
"kudzu" is disabled for your default run level.
