Thanks and yes he shuts down every day and has to log back in.  Being a home
network the passwords never expire so I don't think that is the problem.

Printing from my daughters Win95 machine she doesn't have to use a password
to get in to my son's printer (win98).

I'm thinking it's a Win98 thing as I don't have any problems with the older
win95 machines.  I'm not as desperate as I was as I was able to get the
printer hooked up to my Linux box working.  Still I'd like to get it working
correctly.

I'll play more this weekend if we get more rain.

Hello Brad,

  Check if the Windows account you are using to print
is ok. For example, its password might have been expired.
Try to login locally in your son's computer.
