I've always had my system set up so that I would log into a control line
setup. I just changed it to a window environment and have some questions.
Normally I could Alt-F1 to F4 to get a new logon and do something different.
If one of those got into a window environment I could Ctrl-Alt to move
around. I even had it set up so that if my wife logged in (non-window) she
automatically was put into a window environment using screen 2.
One thing I noticed is that if you logged in non-window and then did a
startX you could Ctrl-Alt-F1 and see your old non-window session. Going
directly to a Window login that (a control line session) seems to be gone!
Or at least I haven't seen it using Ctrl-ALt-F1 to F?
Also, I was surprised that and Ctrl-Alt-F8 didn't take me to a new Window
Login Screen.
Just some ramblings and wondering why...
Brad
