Smb client rh 9 nautalis

I am trying the Network Servers menu item in RH 9.  It brings up a Nautalis
window with smb./// in the location.  It takes a long time to find all of
the workgroups  Then a while to connect to an individual machine.

Is this normal or do I have a setting problem?
