Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, after much experimentation, I'm no
further forward. If I edit or reorder my list of modes, the only one that works
by default is "640x480". If I manually switch through the modes, then several
others will then work (including the one I want) but not by default.
Looking at my original log file, I cannot understand why the
automatically-triggered "Chose mode 11a at 75Hz" fails to produce an image,
whereas the manually-triggered sequence of:
(--) SAVAGE(0): Chose mode 111 at 75Hz.
(--) SAVAGE(0): Chose mode 114 at 75Hz.
(--) SAVAGE(0): Chose mode 117 at 75Hz.
(--) SAVAGE(0): No suitable BIOS mode found for 1152x864 108MHz.
(--) SAVAGE(0): Chose mode 14f at 60Hz.
(--) SAVAGE(0): Chose mode 11a at 75Hz.
Ending with exactly the same mode that was first selected, works. Any more
ideas?
Thanks,
Simon.
