RH9 - installation problem -on SONY VAIO SR11k laptop

RH 9.0 could not detect and do not recognize  my pcmcia cdrom (standard sony
laptop cdrom pcga-cd51/a)

RH8.0 recognize and install  pc card and cdrom.... install and work fine
what is wrong with rh9.0 ?
