Hi,
I'm in the mobile telecom business.
We hear this complaint now and again. It usually is connected to bad a coverage in general. This may be due to echoes or reflections by tinted glass windows or high concrete-steel buildings.
Sometimes, there may be bad atmospheric circumstances, even large trees in summertime can fool you. Then, trees carry a lot of leaves, containing water, which absorbe the radiowaves. Remember we talk about 2 watts max!
I myself have got the same problem at home. My place is exactly in the middle of two base station transceivers. In such a case, the only solution is to move your device. Sometimes a couple of yards (meters) may do the trick.
Good luck
Albert
