Can anyone tell me how to fix my mouse problem in terms
someone who doesn't know they're way around the terminal
or config files of Linux could understand??
List,
When I log into my red hat account my mouse icon disappears. I'm using
red hat 9. I can use my mouse just fine in the log in screen but
after I log in (either as root or a account user) my mouse icon
disappears. I can get it draw a select box
on the screen but no cursor icon. After some fooling with it if I can
get it to open a window or click an application it (the mouse icon)
shows back up. It seems to be fully functional besides the fact that I
can't see it. If I close all the windows and applications it disappears
again. Anyone have any suggestions. I have used a Microsoft Optical
wheel pro Mouse( usb and sp2), a logitech optical wheel mouse (usb and
ps2), a regular logitech wheel mouse (ps2) (with a ball, not optical),
and a generic ps2 3 button mouse. All having the same results.
Is this a redhat bug?
My board is a ASUS with a nvidia chipset
and a AMD 2.4 ghz processor
running redhat 9 if that info helps any...
Any suggestions???
