Hi there.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
When I try to install RedHat 9.0 with a bootable CD after a couple of
hundred of lines (which I think are the results from checking the hardware
in my PC) I get a blank black screen, the power save mode (amber colour
light) on my monitor goes on and I can not see anything else.
The CD-ROM reads some more and then stops.
After I push the space and enter keys on my keyboard the CD-ROM starts
reading very fast but I still can not see nothing on my monitor which is in
power save mode.
I went into the BIOS and changed things in the power management page but
with no success.
Please tell me what you think about this problem.
Add "noapm" to your boot command line:
boot: linux noapm
