I would say it's hardly a replacement in the sense of support. It's not even being offered as a boxed set it's pretty much a download and you're on your own sort of hack which is quite a major splitsville scene on the "redhat Linux User community". And while the whole Fedora kick may not be much of a problem for big time cats like us it can be a major problem for some of the lesser cats who are used to things like a "reasonable price", prepackaged boxed sets, slow dialup connections, security updates, bugfixes, support, etc. I think it's a major bummer that redhat decided to abandon the redhat linux scene so abruptly and aim there market soley at the squares.
