Unable to install RHL 9 on Seagate SATA drive

Hello!

I have a problem installing Linux 9 on my system. I
know there are many posts about this problem already
out there, and I have read quite a few but I was just
hoping somebody had found a solution recently.
As you may have guessed from the subject, I cannot
install Linux 9 on my system because I have a Seagate
ST380023AS SATA disk - and that's it! And since I'm a
bit short on cash lately :) , I don't think I could
afford an additional PATA drive. Has anybody found a
solution / developed a driver for SATA drives? I tried
installing a device driver at the very beginning of
the installation process - the only entry with Seagate
in it - but it didn't help.
