corba port problems

Hi,

  I have redhat 8.I have installed OpenORB on it and trying to run its naming 
service.when I start the naming service it shows that the naming service is 
started on localhost.locadomain:portno.when I do a netstat that portno is 
listed in listen mode,but when I do a nmap the port is not listed as open.when 
my application tries to connect to the port I get java.net.SocketException 
saying connection refused.I disabled the firewall completely but still not 
able to connect.could this be problem with firewall or some port permission 
problem.
