Can you ping the router from the linux box?
Are you SURE the router IP is 192.168.1.1?
By default, some are 192.168.0.1
Can you connect to the router via a browser from one of the
WinDoZ box?
Can ping the WAN address of the router?
(The address the ISP gives to your router. Will NOT be a 192.168.*.* address)
What do you get from 'ifconfig' ?
Maybe try that and post it.
Have you tried connecting to a web site using the IP address
instead of the domain name? Trying 64.236.24.28 instead of cnn.com
(I'm thinking DNS problem here, but if you cannot even ping
your router, then that's probably not it.)
Have you tried using traceroute to see how far you get?
ie 'traceroute 64.236.24.28' to try to get to cnn.com
(Use any IP you like, just be sure it's up and working.)
