Well, I have to confess I find the samba logs just a bit
confusing...e.g.whats the diff between the log.samba log and the
samba.log log? Then there's a log for each client, it appears...

In any event, the following may be relevent, tho I have no clue as to
how...
There are a slug of these errors from var/log/samba/samba.log

[2003/10/02 16:07:02, 0]
smbd/oplock_linux.c:linux_init_kernel_oplocks(287)
  Failed to setup RT_SIGNAL_LEASE handler

....and, from var/log/samba/windozeclient.log

[2003/10/01 16:14:14, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(252)
  norway (xx.xx.cxx.xx) couldn't find service
::{2227a280-3aea-1069-a2de-08002b30309d}

(Norway being the windoze client....)
