I am beat. I have setup a printer on the RH9 machine and it prints
fine. I want to share that printer with two Windows PCs (W2k, WXP). I
have added the printer to the smb.conf file.
[Epson870]
; path = /var/spool/samba
read only = No
guest ok = Yes
printable = Yes
printer name = Epson870
oplocks = No
The windows machines can see the printer, however, in the properties
they show Access denied, unable to connect. Thus, they don't print
through the Linux machine. Is there a setting I have missed? In
globals I have:
[global]
server string = Basement Linux
encrypt passwords = Yes
log file = /var/log/samba/%m log
max log size = 0
hosts allow = 192.168.1. 127.
printing = cups
