Re: install linux to separate hard drive from xp

Jay, Thanks for the help and let me clarify the situation somewhat. XP
tells me that I have 30.70 gig free space on C: and 3.99 gig free space on
D:. Disk Druid (the recommended partition tool on Redhat Linux 7 install
disk) shows both these disk drives as full. Since Disk Druid 'knows' that
the disks are full, it will not add more partitions. If I format D: in
Windows, will Disk Druid then recognise the empty space? Also these drives
are both formatted to NTFS file system, could this have a bearing on the
problem?
