Upgrade from 7.3 to 9.0 with raid

Hi list,

I have troubles trying to upgrade my server which is actualy running RH
7.3 with Raid1 (2 disks mirror 0 and 1) md0 as / and md1 as /boot, both
in ext3. Now, booting with CD and trying to upgrade in 9.0, my
partitions are not recognized, even in rescue mode, and installation
want to install 9.0 instead of upgrading (same if I try to boot with
floppy). I took a look in syslog file and saw that raid was recognized,
partition where bounded, but at the end there is an

md: personality 3 is not loaded!
md:do_md_run() returned -22
md0 stopped
   unbind <hdc2,1>
   export_rdev(hdc2)
   unbind <hda2,1>
   export_rdev(hda2)

Same for md1. When booting from CD or floppy, before anaconda is running
I see twice this information:

error 2 reading header: cpio: Bad magic.

Mounting manualy my partitions without raid (in terminal) is working.
CD's are ok as I install another of my servers without problem.

If someone has an idea.
