Most Windoze users are pretty insecure about making the cutover to
Linux, and want to have a fallback position.  You are to be credited
for your resolve.  Also, people in a "production environment" cannot
afford to be climbing the learning curve when they should be doing
what they're paid to do, so the transition may have to be piece by
piece.

When I made the change many years ago, I dual-booted.  But some time
later, I realized that I hadn't booted Windoze in over a year.  At the
point, I recycled that disk space for more noble purposes. :-)

My comment about doing your research was aimed at making sure you know
that there are available tools under Linux to do what you've been
doing under Windoze.
