Hi everyone. I'm a new linux user, and redhat 9 impressed me so much with its polish and professionalism that I want to use it at home. However the wife isn't ready to switch from windows just yet. So, VMware lets me learn linux while still appeasing others.
Unfortunately, I can get a perfect install, but after it reboots after the install, it freezes once it gets to the 'updating /etc/fstab' part. And, it even causes the entire machine to lock up (even windows).
Any ideas? I had to deal with the ext3 bug by switching the partitions to ext2. Here's my hardware:
Athlon 1.4 GHz
512 MB ddr 266
Asus A7A266 motherboard
Elsa Gladiac GeForce 3
about 4 WD HDs.
Thanks for the help!
Brian
