I am trying to install Redhat 9 on a machine with an Intel 865PE/PE PRO
(Albatron) mainboard, a 3Ghz hyperthreading P4 CPU, 2 Gb RAM, 220Gb SATA
Raid Hard disks, and a geforce4 fx5200 (which is not properly supported
without downloading the drivers). I have to install in text mode because
of the non standard graphics card.
The SATA Raid is from adaptec, however the driver disk creation software
only creates a driver disk for Windows XP and 2000, even though the
driver disk creation software uses a linux OS.
I have tried a number of the Raid drivers in the list when you choose to
install raid drivers and have had no success. I have also downloaded
software for the SATA Raid for Redhat from the Adaptec site, however
this software seems to require that Redhat already be installed on the
machine.
Any help to point me in the right direction as to where I could get
drivers that will allow me to directly install to my SATA Raid disks,
would be greatly appreciated.
