Re: How to install Redhat 9 ?

Hi NfoCipher,

Thanks 4 your reply. How to create a swap
partition ? My ram is 320
Mb,
so I just create a small partition which is 720 Mb is
it ? Is this the way
to create
a swap partition ? Another thing is the swap partition
should be in ext3
file system ?
Than I just make a ext3 partition on the rest of the
freespace?
Can these be done using the Redhat installation
CD disc1 ? Or I need
to used the
Partition Magic ? Can I just used Partition Magic to
convert the vfat
partition to ext3 and
reboot using the Redhat installation disc 1. If there
is a ext3 partition ,
will the swap file
be created by itself or I still need to manually
create it ?
Sorry to bother u as these is the first time I
install Linux.
     All help r welcome.

Cheers,
Sword Raider.
