I've got several server running Redhat 7.2 with a mix of RAID1 and RAID5
partitions. When I try to upgrade them to Redhat 9 the install utility
tells me that it can't detect any valid installation devices.
If I select the option to manually tell it where to find the partition
it shows only the hd* devices and none of the md* devices.
I'm trying to perform a network-based install as the servers don't have
CD-ROMs--they all have four IDE hard drives. When I boot from the floppy
it appears that the RAID modules load and that it detects all the RAID
devices (md0, md1, and md2). I simply can't access them to do an upgrade
install.
How can I accomplish this?
