Hi,
I saw something similar to this only once, I think. I do not remember the
exact message though. After Googling around a bit I tried different
partition sizes and things seemed to work.
Maybe Rick or someone else can comment on this weird area. There seems to
be some underlying requirement, of which I do not understand or even think I
can accurately relate, but which comes up periodically when I put together a
new machine, having to do with a partition's size and where it can start or
finish on the disk. I run into this once in a while build a machine. It
seems to have something to do with choosing sizes in terms of Megabytes
inside of fdisk and then later having fsck say it doesn't like the way a
partition is put together.
Does this make any sense? I've seen it two or three times, but never in
such a way that I thought I could report it correctly, as this email clearly
shows! ;-)
Cheers,
Mark
