Latest version 0.9.5 ?
Works on my system. However my RH 9 install is modified, so it is not a
good test case.

Look in /etc/ld.so.conf and see if the directory /usr/X11R6/lib is
listed. If not, as the root user, add it and run /sbin/ldconfig. Then
try and configure fluxbox again.
Might want to check and make sure your XFree86-devel package is not
corrupted. rpm -V XFree86-devel
