help installing!!!!!

i was installing the redhat linux 7.3 os on my pc,
dualbooting w/ ms win98 (i installed win98 first).
after selecting disk druid, in the installation
process, an error message appeared informing me of
some "lba error." i chose to cancel the installation.
when i restarted the pc, it couldn't detect the hard
disk? how do you fix this error? can i restore win98 fully?
