mq ypbind fails

copied network config files from a rh(8) to another rh(8), modified
IPAdds,etc.
(ifcfg-eth0,network,hosts,nsswitch.conf,resolv.conf,hosts, yp.conf,
fstab.)
One fails to listen to NIS server when tried to start ypbind.
can not run telnet from troubled rh(8).
ypbind and yptools pkgs are installed.
