Hi Bob,
I did what you indicated.
I've got the following in the last step:
# rpm --rebuilddb
error: db4 error(16) from dbenv->remove: Dispositivo o recurso ocupado
(TRANSLATION NOTE: Dispositivo o recurso ocupado -> Device or resource busy)
Anyhow it works now.
