If you're installing under VMWare, make SURE you tell VMWare to treat
the CDROM as a "legacy" device.  You may also need to configure and
install using ext2 filesystems and convert to ext3 after installation is
complete.  See http://www.rhil.net/docs/ext2-to-ext3.html for details on
how to do that.
