Problems installing Fedora test 2?

Hello all-

I have been beating my head against this problem over the weekend, and am no further than when I started. Red Hat 9 and Severn (Fedora) beta 1 installed for me with ABSOLUTELY no problem at all. I downloaded the new Fedora test 2, and run into the following problem:

The install goes completely fine until it loads the last package (I have tried different package configurations, finally trying the default package selections for personal desktop). After it finishes with CD 2 (or 3) depending on the packages selected, the screen goes half blue, with the following text:

Running anaconda, the Fedora Core system installer - please wait...
Probing for video card: NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS (generic)
Probing for monitor type; SyncMaster
Probing for mouse type: Generic - 3 BUTTON Mouse (USB)
Attempting to start native x Server
Waiting for X server to start... log located in /tmp/X.log
1...2...3...4...5.... X server started successfully.

The KB lights are blinking in an apparent random pattern over and over. If I then manually restart the computer, the computer boots up to a grub command line (not the GUI login I specified during installation)

Configuration of computer:
MB: Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra (Black edition)
Proc: Athlon XP 2500+
Ram: 512MB
Video: NVidia Geforce2GTS
HD: 30GB Maxtor, 30GB Quantum (set as master/slave)
Optical: 1 DVD, 1 CDRW (I've tried installing from both)
PS/2 KB, USB Mouse

Solutions I have tried so far:
1) MD5 Sums on the ISO's are correct (theoretically the download is not corrupt)
2) I have completely formatted the HD's in the computer
3) I have re-burned the ISOs 3 times (onto different brands of media)
4) I booted to the installation cd and used the linux rescue option to look at X.log (the last file mentioned). The file does not exist (although anaconda.log does). I can attach the anaconda log if anyone thinks it might help.
5) Red hat 9, and Severn Beta 1 STILL install just fine with no problems (so theoretically, my computer doesn't have a hardware problem precluding installation of an OS, it is JUST Fedora Test 2 that will not install)

Am I looking at a bug, a newly-introduced hardware incompatibility, or am I perhaps missing something? Looking through the list archives, I don't see anyone else having a similar problem (although Fedora has only been out a couple days). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

-Sean
