I do not think that will give me the performance I'd be looking for, and
it's not as technically interesting.

It's their request, not my suggestion. They want to buy the hardware. I'd
just do the setting up and longer term maintenance.

Even 70 year olds eventually get tired of Redmond blue. They got pretty
burned with the latest round of M$ based viruses and want a better email
solution. Evolution running on fluxbox would work really well for them I
think. They browse the web, don't do much multimedia, send email, etc. Their
requirements are pretty minimal.

My dad uses M$ Office, so I'd put a copy of Crossover Office on there and be
pretty much done.

Don't ask me how they got to this decision on their own, but how could I say
'no'?!? ;-)
